Spiraling to Stand (05:53)

FREE PREVIEW

Feldenkrais measures health as the recovery rate after illness or trauma. Students sitting cross legged place one hand behind them and swivel their pelvis in a corkscrew motion to stand. They reverse the motion to sit again.

Halfway Spiral (02:30)

Students sitting cross legged reach behind them with one hand, swivel the pelvis halfway to standing, change hands, and sit down again with the opposite leg in front.

Arm Semi-Circle (03:46)

Eliminating "parasitic" movement increases efficiency. Students lying on their right side trace a half circle with the left palm along the floor. They move it over the head, rolling the head to look upward.

Full Arm Circle (05:15)

Students lying on their right side with legs bent, lift and lower the left knee. Keeping the hand on the ground, they trace a circle with the left arm above the head, in back of them, and back over the hip.

Reverse Full Arm Circle (03:50)

Students lying on their backs place arms over their head and lift the left hip to the right. They roll to the right and trace a circle with the left arm down to the hip and back behind them.

Full Arm Circle: Left Side (07:54)

Feldenkrais believes healthy people have secret dreams they work to achieve. Students roll to the left and trace a circle with the right arm down to the hip and back behind them. They end the session by walking around the room.
