Brown dwarfs are failed stars; however, they have very high temperatures of over 3,000 degrees. As iron vapors rise, they cool, solidify, and turn to sand. These grains fall at 70-100 mph, not unlike the speed of a sandblaster.

Storms require temperature differences. Neptune's great dark spot flies around the planet counterclockwise. It appears to be a storm, but scientists do not know what causes it or why it is black.

Saturn's great white spot is a storm that occurs every 30 years. Eventually, the storm covers Saturn's entire equator.
Space Storms: Jupiter's Great Red Spot (03:40)
Jupiter's great red spot is the largest storm in the solar system--twice the size of Earth itself. It has been churning for at least 300 years. Wind speeds reach 300 mph.
