Home > Episode 6: Iceland Photo Safari (Outside: Beyond the Lens, Season 2)
Jeff Aiello and Zack Allen have visited the most sparsely populated country in Europe. Most tourists visit the center of the country around the capital city of Reykjavik. The men get together to discuss their trips.
People live in harmony with the environment. They can car camp anywhere. Aiello traveled around the outside of the country starting in Gulfoss.
This part of Iceland is only accessible on a network of trails called the F-roads. The opening scene of "Rogue One" was filmed here.
Route 1 circles the country. Diamond Beach was named for the pieces of glacier that wash up on the sand. A Viking village built for a movie never made sits at the base of Vestrahorn.
Allen describes the scenery in Kirkjufell. Aiello talks about the importance of respecting locals in Iceland and all -places when traveling.
