Insufficient sleep will put your health at risk in many ways. In the workplace, it can reduce your ability to perform your work safely and effectively. Some jobs also carry an inherently higher risk of fatigue such as shift work, long and or heavy workloads or being kept in the one position for any length of time. Whilst the only cure to fatigue is sleep, there are certain steps that you can take to ensure that tired workers do not create risk to health and safety in the workplace.
