Leonard Bernstein welcomes the audience. This program will present pianists and young conductors, and feature music from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Franz Liszt.
Bernstein introduces 14-year-old pianist Joan Weiner. Yuri Krasnopolsky conducts the New York Philharmonic in the first movement of Mozart's composition.
Bernstein introduces 12year-old Claudia Hoca who performs the adagio movement. Zoltan Rozsnyai conducts the New York Philharmonic in Mozart's composition.
Bernstein introduces 13-year-old Pamela Paul who performs the allegro assai movement. Serge Fournier conducts the New York Philharmonic in Mozart's composition.
Sixteen-year-old André Watts is from Philadelphia. Bernstein conducts the New York Philharmonic in Liszt's concerto.
