Will describes his childhood and turbulent teen years. His addictive behavior began with online gaming.
Will's online gaming began to interfere with school. In high school he found new friends and his behavior changed at home. He began smoking pot and stealing from his family; he was eventually kicked out.
After being kicked out of a shelter, Will tried crack for the first time. He spent all his money on drugs and stole to eat.
Will was court ordered to attend a treatment center for this addiction, where he learned to accept his addiction. He came to understand how to make informed choices for his well-being.
Teens reflect on Will's story and share their own opinions on drugs and addiction. They stress the importance of realizing when you're not in control of your own habits.
Dr. Y. Khosroshahi explains the nature of addiction. Your brain can get addicted to almost anything while trying to get pleasure and avoid pain. Dr. K shares four ways to live happier and avoid addiction naturally.
